A real innovation, the fan heating system! Heat and ventilation plant for surface treatment

For the ventilation of a new electroplating plant with 200,000 m³/h of exhaust air, altAIRnative, together with a partner from the environmental technology sector, is building two natural gas-powered radial fans.

The heat from the CHP process supports the heat supply for the electroplating processes with approx. 300 KW. For the Bavarian surface refiner, we use six-cylinder natural gas engines that are also installed in a similar constellation in the Hurrikan type compressed air heating systems. Instead of a screw compressor, the two identical “fan heating systems” are driven by radial fans, each with a capacity of approx. 100,000 m³/h and a pressure of 30 mbar.

This latest innovation of altAIRnative:

The simultaneous use of heat and mechanical energy of a ventilation system instead of compressed air, also increases energy efficiency enormously in this project, saves CO2, substitutes almost 750,000 kWh of electricity purchase per year. It is eligible for subsidies and therefore a real highlight in the field of sustainable energy projects.

We will of course keep you informed about the progress of the project and will be happy to develop a customised solution for your company.
