Compressed air heating systems – one of the highlights at virtual lectures in October

Dec 17, 2020 | Projects

The lecture on the current state of CAHS technology should have taken place in March of this year at the technical committee meeting on bottling and operating technology of the brewery research and teaching institute as an attendance lecture. When the catch-up event in October threatened to be cancelled again because of Corona, they were prepared, could act quickly and the complete event took place as a virtual congress. In addition to contributions on topics such as climate-neutral breweries and water-injected oil-free compressors for compressed air generation, altAIRnative was able to provide basic information on the current state of CAHS technology and impressive practical examples of how compressed air and heat supply in breweries and the food industry, among others, can be realised in a much more environmentally friendly and cost-effective manner using CHP technology that is already available today. Also in October, a remarkable online conference on the “BlueMilk” research project was held by DLG e.V. as an information event. The aim of the “BlueMilk” research project is to develop and demonstrate technically, economically and ecologically sensible system solutions in a network of research and business that can be transferred to the entire milk processing industry. “BlueMilk” is a network consisting of the TH Ingolstadt and, among others, the companies Zott SE & Co. KG and Andechser Molkerei Scheitz GmbH. Mr. Josef Scheuermeyer from the Andechser organic dairy presented the climate goals “Roadmap to Zero CO2” and the currently implemented energy projects of the dairy to the participants. In addition to the investment in a CHP unit, a deep-freeze absorption system, the Orkan compressed air heating system by altAIRnative, which has been in operation since December 2019, was a prominent point of the presentation. Should you require further information on the above-mentioned events or presentations, we would be pleased to hear from you.
